- Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with move for Valencia’s Sofiane Ferghouli
- Algerian International is set to be a free agent in the summer
Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with Valencia winger Sofiane Ferghouli. The Algerian International is refusing to sign a new deal with the Spanish side and will be available for free in the summer.
Manchester United have been linked with making an approach for the Algerian International over the weekend.
He has less than a year on his contract and is yet to sign a new deal. Meaning he would be available on free in the summer and can sign a pre-contract agreement in January.
Manchester United aren’t the only interested party though. With Italian sides Inter Milan and Roma said to have an interest, whilst United’s Premier League rivals Tottenham and Chelsea may also be interested in bringing him to England.
Chelsea interest in the winger is due to fears that Belgium winger Eden Hazard may leave the club in the summer. With speculation that last seasons Player of the Year has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.
It is believed that Van Gaal is in the market for a new winger, as he aims to add more pace to the United attack. Could Ferghouli be the target he has in mind.
