- Manchester United reportedly agree fee with Borussia Dortmund for Mkhitaryan
- A medical for the player will take place later in the week
- Ibrahimović also set for medical
Manchester United have reported agree a fee of £26,3million with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Armenian captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
United have been linked with the player heavily in the last few weeks and he now looks set for a move to Old Trafford if reports that a fee has been agreed are true.
The 27-year-old Armenian midfielder has already agreed personal with United and will undergo a medical within the next week.
Mkhitaryan has one year remaining on his contract and had already informed Dortmund that he wouldn’t be signing a new deal.
Mkhitaryan is an attacking midfielder and is captain of the Armenian national side. Joined Dortmund in 2013 from Shaktar Donetsk for £23.5million.
Since joining Dortmund, the attacking midfielder has made 140 appearances for the German side. Scoring 41 goals and providing 49 assists for his team-mates.
While last season Mkhitaryan made 52 appearances, scoring 23 goals and 32 assists.
Mkhitaryan is expected to undergo a medical sometime this week.
Ibrahimović set for medical
Mkhitaryan looks set to be joined at Old Trafford by Zlatan Ibrahimović. Another player who has been heavily linked with a move to United.
Ibrahimović has reported agreed personal terms on a move to Old Trafford and will join on a free transfer once his contract with PSG expires at the end of June.
Ibrahimović retired from International football following Sweden’s exit from Euro 2016 and will pen a one-year contract once he completes a medical later this week.
The move will see Ibrahimović reunited with Mourinho after the pair worked together when Mourinho was in charge of Inter Milan.
Should both these moves be completed in the coming weeks. They will join Eric Bailly in becoming Jose Mourinho’s first signings as Manchester United manager.
