During his time in the championship, Nigel Adkins who was the manager at the time, he recognised how good Schneiderlin was at pressing opposition in midfield and breaking up opposing attack. This became key to Southampton’s promotion to the premier league. Now he is in his 3rd year in the premier league with Southampton and he has become one of the best defensive midfielders in the premier league. Schneiderlin has a pass accuracy of 89% which is superb for a player who plays in a deeper role. On average he creates 0.91 chances per game. On the other hand his strongest part of his game is the defensive part. He makes more than 6 tackles per game which is fantastic and he wins possession at least 2 times in every game by interception. In the premier league Schneiderlin has made 1430 passes, 852 of these have been in the attacking half; in turn this has presented 24 goal scoring chances.

Arturo-Vidal-Juventus-season-2013-2014-juventus-35059252-1280-853Vidal is a versatile midfielder who currently plies his trade in Italy with Juventus. Vidal made his name on the big stage with Bayern Leverkusen. Vidal is known for his energy on the pitch, he can create goals, score goals and do his defensive duties. His stats this season is not great as the last two seasons however juventus as a team have performed brilliantly. This season   he has improved massively in his defensive side of the game, he has put in 4.1 tackles per game, with a further 1.2 interceptions per game. If he was to join United he would bring that dynamism and energy into the midfield, some of his goals have been crucial this season for example he scored the winning goal in the champions league quater-final against Monaco, he scored the opening goal in the derby against Torino and assisted the 2nd goal which lead to a 2-1 win and he scored the only goal against Sampdoria which confirmed Juventus as the Serie A champions for a fourth consecutive season.

Gundogan was born in Germany and his parents are Turkish. He made his debut in the bundesliga in 2009 with Nurnberg. 2011 was  a good year for him, he scored 5 goals and helped Nurnberg finish the season in  6th place. This led to Dortmund paying €4 million for him which was a bargain. Since then, he has developed into one of the best central midfielders which helped Dortmund to win the German league title, the German cup and reaching the champions league final which he put in a man of the match performance. Gundogan excels in tight situations, pressing to win back possession, using his body to shield the ball and his  technical skills to transition play from defence to attack.

Otamendi burst onto the scene in the argentine first division and was a key member of the team that won the championship. This led him to a place in the national team. Otamendi is known for his ability to win the ball in one-on-one situations and his aerial abilites.  In 2010 he was signed by Porto for €4 million. He enjoyed a successful spell where he won back to back league titles, he made 77 appearances scoring 6 goals. Otamendi was sold to Valencia for €12 million and he has developed into one of the best centre-backs in Europe.

At the moment we don’t know if De Gea will leave or stay so we will be looking closely at Leno who is perfect replacement for De Gea should he leave. Leno started his career in May 2011 with Stuttgart where he impressed and was watched by many teams. On the 10th of August 2011 he was loaned out to Leverkusen until 31st December 2011, he made his bundesliga debut where he kept a clean sheet, this led to him keeping clean sheets in the next two games, he became the third goalkeeper in bundesliga history to keep a clean sheet in the first three games. He also became the youngest goalkeeper ever to play in a champions league game. This helped him to secure a permanent deal with Leverkusen until 2017.
