Dutch star Memphis returned to the United starting line-up on Saturday to score the opening goal in their 2-1 win over Watford.
Memphis returned to the starting line-up in the Premier League for the first time since the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal. He was taken off at half-time in that. With reports that United’s coach staff, especially Giggs weren’t happy with his attitude and work-rate for the team.
United manager Van Gaal gave Memphis a chance to impress through the middle due to the absence of Martial and Rooney through injury and illness.
Van Gaal said in his Friday press conference that he had been impressed with the players attitude in training as he bids to rediscover the form that he showed for PSV Eindhoven last season.
The player himself has revealed that he learning new things everyday in training and that Giggs has given him some good advice and they have been working on some thing to him improve his form.
Memphis will be looking to keep his place in the starting line-up when his former side PSV visit Old Trafford on Wednesday. A win for United in that game could see them qualify for the last sixteen of the Champions League.
