Manchester United have struggled for goals in the first-half of the 2015/16 season. Will Louis Van Gaal look to add reinforcements to his squad in January? We bring you the latest transfer rumours regarding Manchester United.
Not for the first time Manchester United are being linked with a move for Brazilian Felipe Anderson. He currently plays for Italian side Lazio. Reports are linking United with £35million move.
It is believed that the signing of Felipe Anderson could be announced by United in the next week, with reports that United’s top brass have flown out to Roma to complete the deal.
The Brazilian joined Lazio from Santos in July 2013, he has made 82 appearances for Lazio to date. Primarily Anderson is a left-winger but can also play from the right.
Should this move happen, surely it will free up Anthony Martial for a more central role in the second half of the season.
Reports in Spain claim that Manchester United have entered negotiations with Real Madrid for Columbian International James Rodriguez.
The figure being quoted for the attacker is £59million. Rodriguez has struggled to hold down a regular starting place with the Spanish giants.
It is believed that the Columbian may looking be for a fresh start and he could a move to Manchester as a perfect opportunity for him to do that.
Reports suggest that Italian Champions Juventus are looking to take the Italian International back to Serie A just six months after he left Torino for Manchester.
Darmian made a good start to his time with United but hasn’t struggled to find his best form in recent months. This hasn’t been helped by injuries to his team-mates that has seen swapping from left-back to right-back.
We find it hard to believe that United would be willing to let Darmian go, having just signed him and letting him go would leave them severely short in defence.
Victor Valdes hasn’t figured in the United first-team since the final game of last season against Hull City. Van Gaal says this is because Valdes refused to figure in several under-21 games last season.
Valdes contract with United is up in the summer and he saw a move to Besiktas fall through in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Whether he leaves in the January window or has to wait until the summer, Valdes won’t be at Manchester United for much longer.
With David De Gea and Sergio Romero being the first-team goalkeepers at United for now, surely Sam Johnstone will move away from Old Trafford on a loan deal in the coming weeks.
Johnstone is believed to have a number of suitors in the Championship, including Preston North End. Who he is expected to join on loan within the coming days.
