- Luke Shaw recovery from double leg break seems to be on track
- Still a chance that he may play again this season
Manchester United and England Luke Shaw’s recovery from his horrific double leg break seems to going to plan at the moment. United manager Van Gaal confirmed last month that Shaw had started his rehab and was at the training ground everyday.
Manchester United had their Christmas party on Wednesday night and he was pictured walking without crutches for the first time. You may think it’s early for Christmas party but this is because of the heavy schedule United have the Christmas period.
In Shaw’s absence from the team, Van Gaal has used a number of players in the position including Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young.
Surely Shaw’s aim is to make it back before the end of the season and make it into the England’s squad for the European Championships in the summer. Van Gaal has praised Shaw’s positive attitude towards his injury and rehabilitation.
Van Gaal though refuses to put a time frame on a possible return date for the England International. But has confirmed he is progressing well.
Both Manchester United and Luke Shaw himself have tweeted a picture of Shaw stepping up his rehab by getting on the exercise bike.
Tough bike session today, still early days but I’m working hard on my recovery!! pic.twitter.com/9Tss5YDDEm
