- David Beckham set to joined in UNICEF Charity match by several fellow Manchester United legends
- There will be United legends representing both sides
David Beckham will be joined by former Manchester United team-mates and fellow legends in the ‘Match for Children’ in aid of UNICEF.
It has already been announced that Beckham will captain a Great Britain and Ireland side, managed by Sir Alex Ferguson. Against a Rest of the World team captain by Zinedine Zndane and managed by Carlo Ancelotti in the match that will take place at Old Trafford on November 14.
It has now been announced some of the footballing greats that will be taking part in the match. There are some of Beckham’s former team-mates at United and fellow United legends. As well as several other greats who Beckham played with and against during in his career.
The Manchester United legends that will take part are split between the two sides because of their nationality. The GB and Ireland side will include Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Andy Cole.
Whilst on the ROW side, United fans will be able see Edwin Van Der Sar, Dwight Yorke and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The ROW team will also include some of greats of the game including Cafu, Luis Figo and Ronaldinho.

Money raised through profits from ticket sales and donations made on matchday will go to UNICEF’s work providing lifesaving care including protection, health and nutrition for some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
