- AS reporting that Griezmann will stay with Atletico for another season
Antoine Griezmann is believed to be the number one transfer target for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United in the summer but AS are reporting that he will remain in Spain for another season.
Manchester United wouldn’t be the only club interested in taking Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the summer. But they may have to wait another season to sign the Frenchman.
Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that Griezmann has been convinced to remain with Atletico for the 2017/18. One of the key factors in this is the assurances that Diego Simeone will remain at the helm for next season.
While Griezmann may be open to a move to Manchester United, it is believed that the player is extremely settled and happy in the Spanish capital.
The 25 Year-old has scored 77 goals in 144 appearances for the Spanish side. A ration of a goal every 1.8 games.
Manchester United have struggled for goals this season with just 39 in 26 Premier League games.
The addition of Griezmann to Jose Mourinho’s attacking options could see them improve those stats in the 2017/18 season.
