Manchester United grabbed a crucial 3-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park. The Red Devils provided the perfect response after a similar drubbing at the Emirates against Arsenal before the international break.
The Old Trafford side made numerous changes to the starting eleven as Phil Jones, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Morgan Schneiderlin came in for Daley Blind, Memphis Depay, Ashley Young and Michael Carrick from the Arsenal game.
United started the game on the front foot as they kept the possesion and the mobility of Herrera in advanced position helped them to create a nice link up between defence and attack.
The Red Devils opened the scoring at 18th minute from a set-piece as Rojo fed the deflected ball again in the box and Smalling laid it for Schneiderlin who finished calmly to reward United for their early domination.
United continued to get into promising position and looked threatening on the counter attack. They grabbed the second goal of the game when Rojo crossed the ball in the box for Herrera to finish it with a good header.
They kept on pressing well and Chris Smalling and Jones kept Romelu Lukaku at the bay as the Belgian was towering on them and trying to create space for himself to have a go at the goal.
Louis Van Gaal brought on Jesse Lingard in the second half for Juan Mata as the Spaniard was struggling in the first half specially with his defensive work. The Toffees were the better team in initial part of the second half as David De Gea made some mind-blowing saves to keep his side’s lead intact.
United once settled down and then dictated the play. On the hour mark Schneiderlin intercepted the ball in midfield who then played it through for Herrera and the Spaniard found Wayne Rooney in a goalscoring position which led to United’s third goal.
The Red Devils now were in cruise control as they kept the ball well and creating numerous chances as they could have increased their lead. United registered their first win against the Toffees at Goodison Park in four years.

Our Man of the Match: Schneiderlin
It was a great team performance and there were numerous players who did their job perfectly well. The man of the match in my opinion would be Morgan Schneiderlin as he brought a composure to our midfield. He won the midfield battle and kept Ross Barkley quiet. This performance showed what the Red Devils lacked at Emirates and the Frenchmen needs to start more games specially in the crunch games.
